Previously Australian Skin Cancer Clinics - South Brisbane, our professional and caring Doctors and Staff have relocated to our brand new location, now called Australian Skin Cancer Clinics - Annerley.

Our new clinic is located on Waterton Street just down from the Ipswich Road and Waterton Street intersection, opposite Hungry Jacks. Plenty of parking is available.

Our Doctors have a special interest in Skin Cancer medicine, and with no referral necessary we make it easy for you to get your skin checked! We also perform Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery at an affordable price.

Fees and Payments

Our Standard consultation fee is $90 of which you will receive a partial rebate from Medicare.

Treatments and Procedures are generally bulk billed. If there is a fee involved, your Doctor will discuss this with you directly.

All government concession card holders, DVA, and children under the age of 16 are bulk billed.

Payment methods are Cash and EFT. Amex and cheques are not accepted

Dr Hatem Alkureshy

Dr Hatem Alkureshy is an experienced Full Time Skin Cancer Doctor. He is a Fellow of the Skin Cancer College Australasia and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners; with Masters in Skin Cancer and diplomas and certificates in Practical Dermatology, Skin Cancer Surgery, Skin Cancer Medicine, and Paediatric Medicine.

Dr Alkureshy provides comprehensive skin cancer and melanoma medicine services, including:

Dr Tamara Weerasinghe

Dr Tamara Weerasinghe has been practising with ASCC for 15 years. Her caring manner and thorough skin examinations make her very sought after. Her dedication shines through in her ability to connect with her patients.

Her skin cancer treatmentments include Skin Cancer Surgery, Excisions and Biopsies, Cryotherapy, Daylight Activated Metvix, and Topical Field Treatment.

Her out of work interests include reading, walking, and spending time with her family.

Dr Heather Lawson

Heather graduated from Otago University in 1981 and worked for many years as a GP. In 2008, she decided to pursue her interest in skin cancer medicine.

She has completed a Diploma of Dermatoscopy, and the Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery. Heather worked in a Cairns Skin Cancer Clinic since 2008, but moved in early 2017 to Brisbane. 

In her spare time, Heather enjoys crafts/sewing and photography.
