Our building is called "Clemwell House" which is located outside the Cannon Hill Shopping Centre, across the carpark from Autobarn.

Our Doctors have a special interest in Skin Cancer medicine, and with no referral necessary we make it easy for you to get your skin checked! We also perform Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery at an affordable price.

Fees and Payments

For non-concession card holders, our standard consultation fee is $80 of which you will receive a partial rebate from Medicare.

All treatments and procedures are bulk billed with most of our doctors. If there is a fee involved, your doctor will discuss this directly with you.

Bulk billing is available with some doctors for holders of Centrelink Pension Cards, Veteran Cards and Health Care Cards. Please confirm with Reception prior to your appointment.

Dr Eric Ong

Dr Eric Ong graduated in 1986 from the National University of Ireland in Dublin, after which he obtained a Diploma in Dermatology from the University of Wales Cardiff in 1995. He has been a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 1998.

Dr Ong has been practising as a dedicated skin cancer doctor since 2006, providing comprehensive skin cancer screening and treatment, including:

  • Full skin examinations
  • Skin cancer surgeries
  • Excisions and biopsies
  • Skin grafts
  • Flap repairs
  • Cryotherapy

Dr Gary Whittaker

Dr Gary has worked as a skin physician for more than seven years, combined with over 30 years of experience working as a general practitioner. He is passionate about treating skin cancer and is always looking to further his skin education as new developments unfold. Outside of work, Dr Gary and his wife Sally are kept busy with a total of six children between them, and their cat and dog. Sometimes, he manages to escape to the golf course for some down time!

Dr Chris Ho

Chris joined the ASCC in 2003 at the Surfers Paradise (Bundall) practice, where he soon became the Lead Clinician for Queensland (2005). Now as the State Medical Director of the Australian Skin Cancer Clinics Queensland, Dr Chris Ho is draws upon his wealth of knowledge and experience in the skin cancer, dermatology, surgery and management spheres to lead clinical teams in Queensland to build a strong culture of excellence in clinical standards for skin cancer practice, and deliver exceptional outcomes for patients and doctors. He is also responsible to ensure quality clinical standards amongst the group and improve engagement across the organisation. 

After completing his medical degree (MBBS 1994) at the University of Melbourne, Dr Ho pursued multiple postgraduate endeavours – the first being a PhD in Surgery that he attained in 2004 from the University of Queensland. He went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma of Dermatology from the University of Cardiff (UK 2007), Advance Clinical Dermoscopy Certificate (SCSA 2007) and a Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia (SCCA 2015). His most recent achievement is his MBA 2017. 

Dr Ho first consolidated his academic studies with practical experience during his time working as a Surgical Registrar in various tertiary hospitals in Brisbane. He successfully completed Part One of his Formal Surgical Training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS 1997), where he gained exposure to many plastic surgery techniques. 

Dr Ho is an Accredited Doctor and Graduate of the SCCA, whose varied repertoire of dermatological training and surgical skills is utilised in his skin cancer practices at Chermside and Cannon Hill ASCC in Brisbane. 

In addition to producing optimal results for his patients, Dr Ho’s level of expertise is demonstrated by his contribution to the 2014 National Parliamentary Inquiry into skin cancer in Australia.
